Calvin Cartwright is currently without Ruth, his long-­‐time girlfriend and colleague. Broken-­hearted, Calvin does his best to take his frustrations out over a tennis lesson with his coach and friend, Dave Ham. Throughout the tennis lesson and forthcoming locker room banter, Dave does his best to cheer Calvin up and help him move on. However, through a series of flashbacks involving the breakup of Calvin and Ruth, pieces of a puzzle begin to fall into place revealing some ruthless twists and behaviours.
