Victory Sporting Club
BRANDING
Victory Sporting Club is a lifestyle brand + club, founded in Toronto, committed to celebrating excellence in sportsmanship and the hot pursuit of victory. The featured products are decorative handmade wood hockey sticks for NHL's 'Original 6' teams.
The ‘Original 6’ Collection
The Original 6 Collection highlights legends from each team: Darryl Sittler (Toronto), Jean Béliveau (Montreal), Andy Bathgate (New York), Gordie Howe (Detroit), Bobby Orr (Boston) & Stan Mikita (Chicago).
Carefully crafted by hand, each stick is a 1-of-1 containing a one-of-a-kind tape job on the blade and upper shaft, and a custom VSC monogram burned onto the wooden stick.

Darryl Sittler (Toronto Maple Leafs)

Jean Béliveau (Montreal Canadiens)

Andy Bathgate (New York Rangers)

Gordie Howe (Detroit Red Wings)

Bobby Orr (Boston Bruins)

Stan Mikita (Chicago Blackhawks)
Hand-Painted
Each stick in this lineup has a hand-painted shaft designed to mimic the iconic look of an NHL team's hockey sock. The shafts feature horizontal stripes in each team's signature colors, stretching all the way down to the tip of the blade, capturing the classic sock striping in a bold and stylish way.
Tape Job
In the early days of the NHL, hockey sticks were left bare or lightly wrapped, but over time, players began using tape for better grip, puck control, and durability. As the game evolved, so did the tape jobs — turning into a personal expression of style, creativity, and sometimes even superstition. For many, taping their stick isn’t just about function; it’s a meaningful part of their pre-game ritual and a small way to stand out on the ice.
Business Cards
The cards were inspired from mid-20th-century utilitarian design, more specifically, sporting event tickets from the 1960s and 1970s. The style generally consisted of a minimalist layout using bold/blocky fonts with limited colour palette, giving off a mechanical feel.
Overall, this style reflects the broader cultural mood of the time: practical & no-nonsense.
